Arson attack: Northumberland Street, Belfast

Police investigating an early morning arson attack in north Belfast are appealing for information.

At around 1.30am on Thursday 9 June, two containers of accelerant were set alight close to a memorial at the junction of Beverley Street and Northumberland Street.

The incident is being treated as a hate crime and Chief Inspector Gavin Kirkpatrick said police would like to hear from anyone with information or anyone who was in the area and noticed anything or anyone suspicious. Please call 101 quoting reference 86 09/06/16.
