Appeal after burglaries in Royal Avenue, Belfast

Detectives investigating the report of burglaries at commercial premises in Belfast city centre at the weekend are appealing for information and witnesses.

Detective Constable Reynolds said: “Police have received a report that sometime between Friday 6th September and Sunday 8th September, entry was gained to a number of commercial premises in the Royal Avenue area of Belfast. 

“As a result a number of electrical devices were stolen and damage caused to the properties.

"I would appeal to anyone who may have been in the area of Royal Avenue, Belfast over the weekend and who may have witnessed the incidents or saw anyone acting suspicious, or saw any suspicious vehicles to contact detectives in Musgrave on 101 quoting reference number 256 of 09/09/19.”

Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that will assist the investigation to contact us on the non-emergency number 101.
