UPDATE: Murder of Daniel Murray - Further arrest

Detectives investigating the murder of 55 year old Daniel Murray have made a further arrest of a 53 year old man. The male was arrested in West Belfast yesterday evening (Thursday 12th May)  and is currently assisting police with their enquiries.

The 38 year old man arrested in the West Belfast area on the evening of Wednesday 11 May has been released unconditionally.

Mr Murray, from West Belfast, was in a black Ford Focus, vehicle registration number PCZ 8770, when he was shot shortly before 10:20pm on Monday 9th May.

Detective Chief Inspector Richard Campbell said: “This was a brutal attack. It has robbed a family of a partner, father and brother and it is important the local community help us find those responsible. I would urge anyone with information to contact detectives on 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers confidentially on 0800 555 111.
