Police appeal after tools taken from van near Omagh

Police are appealing for witnesses following the report of a theft from a vehicle parked outside a service station on the Curr Road, Omagh on November 8. 

Constable McGarrity said: “It is believed that sometime between 1pm to 6pm on Thursday afternoon entry was gained to a yellow Transit van and a number of items were taken, including a Hilti Industrial vacuum cleaner, one Hilti Saw, one Hitachi drill and one Kango Hammer.

“We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area between 1pm and 6pm Thursday, or has information about the incident or who may be offered similar items for sale in suspicious circumstances  to contact detectives at Omagh on 101 quoting reference 1220 of 08/11/18.

“Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
