Appeal after burglaries in Holywood

Detectives in Bangor are investigating a number of burglaries in Holywood they believe, at this time, may be linked. 

Police received a report just after 2:20am that the occupant of a property on Victoria Road disturbed a male masked intruder in their home who then fled the property. It was reported a vehicle at this property was also entered and searched.

A 23-year-old man was arrested a short time later on suspicion of burglary with intent to steal and he remains in custody at this time, assisting with enquiries. 

At around 7:20am, we received a report of a burglary at a property on Bangor Road in Holywood where entry was made sometime during the night. It's not known at this time what, if anything, was taken, however, damage was caused to a door. At around 8:35am we received a report of suspicious circumstances at an address on Victoria Road in Holywood. It was reported that items to the rear of the property had been strewn around the garden.  

Police also came across another vehicle on Victoria Road that was entered and items taken.

While police were dealing with these reports, at around 8:45am, they received a report of a burglary at a property on Bangor Road in Holywood. It was reported the property was ransacked. It's not known if anything was taken. 

Detective Constable Ann Kennedy said: "At this time, we believe these incidents may be linked and we are appealing to anyone who has information about them, or witnessed any suspicious activity, to get in touch with us on 101, and quote reference number 402 of 15/11/20."
