Attempted ATM theft, Woodhouse Street, Portadown

Police are appealing for information following the attempted theft of an ATM at a railway station in the Woodhouse Street area of Portadown in the early hours of Tuesday 16 February. 

Just after 3.50am, police received a report of a window being smashed in the premises. It was then discovered that there were straps around the cash machine and a vehicle had been used to try and drag it away.

Inspector Philip Shepherd said: "I would appeal to anyone who would have been in this area and noticed any suspicious activity to contact Lurgan Police Station on the non emergency number 101. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."
