Man injured in shooting in Magowan Park – Derry/Londonderry

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a shooting in Magowan Park in Derry/Londonderry last night, Monday 18 April.

Shortly before 9pm it was reported that a man, aged in his 20’s, had been shot in the leg. He was taken to hospital for treatment for two gunshot wounds to his right leg. His condition is described as critical.

Inspector Alison Ferguson is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact Detectives in Strand Road on 101. Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
