Security Alert - Crumlin

Police responded to the report of a suspicious object in the area of Ballydonaghy Meadows in Crumlin at around 9pm on Wednesday 9th March.

Ballydonaghy Meadows and Ballydonaghy Road were closed and a number of homes were evacuated whilst the object was examined. Crumlin Leisure Centre was opened for residents affected by the alert. The object was later declared a viable pipe bomb type device and residents were permitted back to their homes at around 1.30am.
