Arrests on suspicion of conspiracy to import heroin

Officers from PSNI Reactive and Organised Crime Branch have arrested two men on suspicion of conspiracy to import heroin and possession of heroin with intent to supply. The men, aged 33 and 46, were arrested after a car was stopped by police at Hillsborough yesterday evening. Both are currently helping police with their enquiries.

Detective Inspector Andy Dunlop said: “No drugs have yet been seized but our enquiries are continuing. I would appeal to anyone involved in the supply of heroin to consider those who suffer daily from misuse of this killer drug. Anyone convicted of supplying heroin can expect to face a lengthy period in prison.”
