UPDATE: Drug seizure & arrests - Holywood Road, East Belfast

A 38 year old man has been charged with conspiracy to supply a class A controlled drug, possession of a class A controlled drug and possession of a class A controlled drug with intent to supply. He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on the morning of Friday 27 May.

As is normal procedure, all charges are reviewed by the PPS.

The 38 year old man and a 23 year old man were arrested in the Holywood Road area of East Belfast on the morning of Wednesday 25 May following a proactive operation by Belfast District Support Team where a quantity of suspected heroin, estimated at this time to be worth approximately £12,000 worth, was found and seized.

The 23 year old man was released on police bail pending further enquiries on the evening of Wednesday 25 May.
