Aggravated Burglary, Forthriver Road, North Belfast

Detectives are investigating an aggravated burglary at a house on Forthriver Road in north Belfast.

It’s understood three masked men armed with hammers gained entry to the property at around 8pm on Friday 26 March. They assaulted the resident, a 21 year old man, with the hammers and dumbbells which they had found within the property.

The intruders caused damage to the kitchen before making off.

The victim, who was struck on the head, face and knee, required hospital treatment for his injuries.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information regarding this crime to please get in touch by calling 101, quoting reference 1861 26/03/21.
