Police welcome sentencing in drugs case

PSNI’s Organised Crime Branch has welcomed the sentencing of Ze Yong Jiang at Omagh Crown Court on Thursday 27 April.

The 44 year old was sentenced to two years imprisonment for possession of a Class A controlled drug and possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply.

Jiang had been arrested in June 2016 in a vehicle containing in excess of £75,000 of herbal cannabis on the main A4 Belfast Road, Enniskillen

Detective Inspector Tom McClure said: “We are very pleased to have taken a man involved in peddling dangerous, illegal drugs off our streets.

PSNI is committed to tackling illegal drugs and other criminal activities and keeping communities safe. I continue to appeal to members of the public to come forward with any information about the supply or use of illegal drugs or criminal activity.
