Requirements For Detective Promotions

In regards to promotion through the ranks to Sergeant, Inspector and Chief Inspector, what, if any, are the additional requirements for Detectives through the promotion process i.e. are there additional exams, boards, time between promotions etc. that officers with a Detective status must go through.
