Police in Derry/Londonderry have seized suspected Class B drugs and a quantity of cash following a search of a property in the city. 

Officers from the District Support Team seized a quantity of suspected cannabis and approximately £5,000 of cash during the search in the Waterside area at around 6.40pm yesterday evening, Monday 1st November.

A man, aged 26 years old, was arrested on suspicion of drug-related offences, including possession of a Class B controlled drug, possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply and possession of criminal property. He has since been released on police bail to return for further questioning at a later date. A woman, aged 27 years old, who was also arrested, was released on police bail to allow for further police enquiries.

Inspector Hamilton said: "Drugs have no place in our community and, through Operation Dealbreaker, we’ll continue to tackle the supply, use and harm caused by illegal drugs.
