Detectives have arrested a man following the report of a burglary in the Island Road area of Randalstown on Friday 22nd March.

Detective Chief Inspector Kerry Brennan said: “Police received a report that at approximately 7.30am on Friday morning, two men had gained entry to a property and stolen a legally held shotgun and a sum of cash.

“A 52 year old man has since been arrested on suspicion of burglary and he remains in custody at this time.  

“We are currently investigating a number of lines of enquiry and would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed anyone or anything suspicious in the Island Road area or who has CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage that could assist with our investigation, to contact detectives in Antrim on 101, quoting reference number 560 22/3/24.”
