Criminal Justice Branch

​The Criminal Justice Branch has responsibility for justice delivery, justice reform, social policy and legislation, extradition and mutual assistance.

Contact Management

As the first point of contact for reporting crime, Contact Management is responsible for answering all emergency and non-emergency calls to 999 and 101 within national guidelines, and for resourcing and tasking initial response to calls for service.


Management of policy and practice of custody facilities across the organisation, including the resourcing of healthcare needs to detained persons, falls within the Justice Department.
