The Chief Constable’s September 2025 Accountability report has been redesigned in order to align more closely with the 2025–2030 Policing plan and give a clearer focus on performance, evidence and outcomes. The redesigned structure, which includes a performance dashboard, progress updates against impact measures, and case studies from across Northern Ireland, is intended to provide the Policing Board and the public with clarity, transparency, and a rich sense of policing on the ground.

We begin this month by reporting on ‘Outcome 1: PSNI is Victim Focused’. Going forward, the Chief Constable will use this format to update the Policing Board on progress against the other Outcomes in the Policing Plan. He will address ‘Outcome 2: PSNI is community focused’ in December 2025 and ‘Outcome 3: PSNI is Workforce focused’ in February 2026 before issuing an Annual Report in May 2026.
