Protecting children from harm is a key priority for the PSNI, and we will aim to identify children and young people who may be at risk  of danger, offending or anti-social behaviour and work with our partners, as well as parents ad carers, to provide intervention and support.

Teams of specially trained child protection officers located throughout Northern Ireland, their role is dedicated to minimising the risk of sexual harm and exploitation to young people. They investigate allegations of child abuse and exploitation and they work to  identify and prevent those persons who would do young people harm, whether that harm is in private, in the community or online.
