Subject: ACRO Foreign Conviction Data Linked to Non-British National Arrests (2018–2024)

For the years 2018 - 2024, the number of arrests of individuals with a nationality recorded as other than "British", "English", "Scottish" or "Northern Irish" which have resulted in ACRO-conducted checks requested from another country and that have shown an individual has a conviction in that country. Please break this information down by nationality if possible, and by conviction type.
Answer
Your request for information has now been considered. In respect of Section 1(1)(a) of the Act we can confirm that the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) does not hold information in relation to your requests. Enquiries made in relation to your request failed to locate any records or documents relevant to your request based on the information you have provided.
PSNI can confirm that this is not information that we would record or retain. Additionally we can advise that this FOI request may be best suited for ACRO Criminal Records Office (ACRO) to answer.
It is data that ACRO may hold and record but it would not be data that we would ordinarily query for a business benefit so there is no current mechanism to do so.
Accordingly, we have determined that the Police Service of Northern Ireland does not hold the information to which you seek access.
