We have checked our records and can confirm that none relate to chatbots, virtual agents, digital assistants or facial recognition that would qualify as using AI.

Automation – Robotic process automation is in use. Spend in FY23/24 was £201,253.05.

How are you measuring the public perception of Police Service Northern Ireland using AI? If you are, have the results been positive?

At this stage we are not measuring public perception as the PSNI AI project is in a conceptual phase and has not delivered any significant services that could be socialised. At the present time AI usage in its most basic sense is limited to transcription of interviews otherwise known as Voice to Text.
