Subject: Anti-Social Behaviour

Request and Answer:
Your request for information has now been considered. In respect of Section 1(1)(a) of the Act we can confirm that the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) does hold information to which your request relates. The decision has been taken to disclose the following.

Question 1
A breakdown of the volume of Anti-Social Behaviour by incident type in the FOD from April 2025 to date, and for the year 2024/25.

Answer
We publish a monthly breakdown of anti-social behaviour incidents by district in the spreadsheet which accompanies our monthly Anti-Social Behaviour in Northern Ireland Update bulletins. This is available on the PSNI website:

https://www.psni.police.uk/about-us/our-publications-and-reports/official-statistics/anti-social-behaviour-statistics

Question 2
A breakdown of the volume of ASB referrals from other agencies such as NIHE, FOD council etc, Social Landlords etc

Answer
There is no internal policy or statutory onus to record referrals through a partner or third party. ASB data is not collated by the originator of the report or incident.

Question 3
A breakdown of the volume of ASB incidents that resulted in some form of legal resolution and details of what these incidents related to and resolution lever used.

Answer
An Anti-Social Behaviour incident involves activity that is not criminal and is not subject to any legal resolution. If an incident has been recorded as Anti-Social Behaviour then it was deemed to not have a specific criminal offence involved. For example if a report was received regarding Anti-Social Behaviour and it transpired that Criminal Damage was involved then this incident would be recorded as Criminal Damage and not Anti-Social Behaviour.

Question 4
A breakdown of the top 5 hot spot areas for ASB in Fermanagh

Question 5
A breakdown of the top 5 hot spot areas for ASB in Omagh

Answer 4 & 5
We publish additional breakdowns by lower level geographies such as DEA and Ward by financial year on the NISRA Data Explorer:

https://data.nisra.gov.uk/product/CANTISB

Additionally, street level information by month is available through the Police.uk crime map.  This can be found by providing a location in the search bar under ‘Find your local area’ on https://www.police.uk/.

On the crime map, anti-social behaviour can be selected from drop down menu and incidents will be displayed on the map as grey ‘hot spots’. As the user zooms in on the map, the hot spots will become more precise.
