Your request for information has now been considered. In respect of Section 1(1)(a) of the Act we can confirm that the Police Service of Northern Ireland does hold information to which your request relates. The decision has been taken to disclose the following.

1. How many convicted child sex offenders are living in Mid and East Antrim?
2. How many convicted child abusers are living in Mid and East Antrim?

For the purposes of data provision for this FOI, we can only provide the number of currently managed [convicted] sexual offenders within this specified geographical area. Concerning the specific categories of offenders requested (child sex offenders / child abusers), this data will be provided as collated in one category, namely those having a relevant qualifying conviction against children (under 18yrs).
