Your request for information has now been considered. In respect of Section 1(1)(a) of the Act we can confirm that the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) does hold some information to which your request relates and this is being provided to you. We do not however hold information in relation to request numbers 3 and 4.  We have also provided you with links to guidance issued by the Information Commissioner’s Office which we have followed in responding to your request.

Support Branch Grade 1 (SBG1)

Are there promotion opportunities for a CDO and to remain in role?

Answer 2
SBG1 who have met the eligibility criteria, for example 1 year in role, can apply for promotion to the next grade EO2 however there are no promotional opportunities for CDO’s to remain in post.
