Your request for information has now been considered. In respect of Section 1(1)(a) of the Act we can confirm that the Police Service of Northern Ireland does hold some of the information to which your request relates. The decision has been taken to disclose the following;

What was the total cost incurred by the PSNI for policing operations in connection with the disorder
In Ballymena on the 9th of June 2025? Please include a breakdown of costs where possible (e.g. Officer overtime, equipment, transport, public order units?
Answer
The total cost of the policing operations in connection into the disorder in Ballymena on 9th June was £5.6m.
Broken down as follows;
Duty Time £1.6m
Overtime £2.9m
Non Pay Costs including Mutual Aid £1.1m

How many police officers sustained injuries as a result of this incident?
Answer
31 officers with a total of 33 injuries as a couple of officers were injured more than once on 9th June.

What is the estimated financial cost associated with these injuries? Such as:
- Sickness absence costs
- Anticipated costs for covering their duties (e.g. overtime or temporary cover)

What is the anticipated operational impact of these injuries (e.g. how many of the injured officers are expected to be off duty and for how long, and how this will affect local policing resources or rotas)?

999 calls are always answered and 9th June 2025 presented no major or different demands within contact management.
Call stats for 9th June 2025 are as follows;
999 call volume – 566
999 answer rate – 97.52
101 call volume – 650
101 answer rate – 31.58
