Subject: Disorder in Ballymena in June 2025

Your request for information has now been considered. In respect of Section 1(1)(a) of the Act we can confirm that the Police Service of Northern Ireland does hold information to which your request relates. The decision has been taken to disclose the following.
Request 1
Total number of people arrested as part of the disorder and rioting that took place in Ballymena in June (which I believe to be at least 41 as of the end of June based on this release)
Request 2
Of those arrested, the total number who have had any reports of domestic abuse made against them.

PSNI can confirm that as of 30th July 2025, there have been 53 arrests made in relation to the rioting that took place in Ballymena in June 2025. 19 of those persons have had reports of domestic abuse made against them previously.
