Your request for information has now been considered. In respect of Section 1(1)(a) of the Act we can confirm that the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) does hold some of the information to which your request relates. The decision has been taken to disclose the following.

How many arrests or cautions has there been on persons using electric scooters?

For clarification the date range would be 01/01/2025 - 31/12/2025.
Answer
There is no specific offence for using an electric scooter illegally. Whilst generic offences such as no licence, no insurance, drink/drug driving etc. may be enforced in relation to e-scooters, PSNI do not hold vehicle type in the datasets therefore such vehicles cannot be identified.
