Request
Detail the number of recorded antisocial behaviour incidents that include a firework code incident that have taken place since 2020.

Answer
Between 1st January 2020 and 31st December 2024 there were 4,932 Anti-Social Behaviour incidents recorded which were closed with a code having the following definition under the National Standard for Incident Recording:
 

  1. Inappropriate use of fireworks.
  2. Unlawful sale or possession of fireworks.
  3. Noise created by fireworks.


Please note:
- Data was retrieved against a main code of Anti-Social Behaviour,
- Whether the firework originates from a private or public location is irrelevant,
-  Noise is no respecter of boundaries.  Noise cannot recognise differences between public and private places,
- Information is provisional and may be subject to change.
