I wish to request a copy of the policy documents relating to ill health retirement for staff members from pension’s branch please?

I am looking for the regulations from the start of the application right through to the guidelines for the Doctors or pension branch to grant the ill health retirement.

I have a rough document from OHW from a previous request, but it was not policy and it was only for them to work on apparently and not to be shared, as they did not have a proper policy. I have since been told it is Pensions Branch who have the regulations a person is required to meet to be medically retired.

Your request for information has now been considered. In respect of Section 1(1)(a) of the Act we can confirm that the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) does not hold information in relation to your requests. Enquiries made in relation to your request failed to locate any records or documents relevant to your request based on the information you have provided. 

PSNI Pensions Branch do not hold information on Staff Members.  PSNI Pensions Branch only deal with Police Officers.  Staff members fall under the NI Civil Service Pension Scheme and all queries in relation to pensions should be directed to [email protected]

Accordingly, we have determined that the Police Service of Northern Ireland does not hold the information to which you seek access.
