For the PSNI Inspectors promotion processes 2019, 2020, 2022 and 2024:

The mean/average mark expressed as a percentage.

There are no pass marks set in advance for the PSNI promotion exams. Strategic Promotion and Examination Board (SPEB) determine in advance the number
of candidates they wish to take forward to interview and therefore that number progress.

The pass mark expressed as number of correct answers given during the exam, following quality assurance.
