Your request for information has now been considered. In respect of Section 1(1)(a) of the Act we can confirm that the Police Service of Northern Ireland does hold some information to which your request relates and this is being provided to you.
We do not however hold information in relation to request number 4 below. We have also provided you with links to guidance issued by the Information Commissioner’s Office which we have followed in responding to your request.

Please provide me with the following details:

Request 1
The annual and total costs of the various Kenova operations including Barnard from inception to date and also the Klina operation.

Request 2
The annual and total costs of the PSNI Legacy Investigation Branch (LIB) since its inception.

Request 3
The annual and total amounts spent by the PSNI on legacy litigation since the LIB"s inception.

Note: Legacy litigation staff costs are captured separately from 2018/19, and compensation costs from 2020/21 onwards. Barnard costs are part of Op Kenova and were not captured separately.

Your request for information has now been considered. In respect of Section 1(1)(a) of the Act we can confirm that the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) does not hold information in relation to your requests. Enquiries made in relation to your request failed to locate any records or documents relevant to your request based on the information you have provided.

PSNI do not hold information in relation to the number LIB officers and staff who are employed by Op Kenova, as this operation is managed by Bedfordshire Constabulary for reasons of operational independence.

Accordingly, we have determined that the Police Service of Northern Ireland does not hold the information to which you seek access.
