Your request for information has now been considered. In respect of Section 1(1)(a) of the Act we can confirm that the Police Service of Northern Ireland does hold information to which your request relates. The decision has been taken to disclose the following.
Request
I would like to request how many complaints were made to the PSNI about obstruction on the pavements in these two roads (Earlswood Road and Belmont Road) during the period 1st March 2024 and 1st March 2025.
Answer
PSNI can confirm that, following a check on police systems, there were no complaints with regards to Belmont Road and 5 complaints with regards to Earlswood Road during this time period. Please note that this does not include complaints that may have been made directly to individual officers.
The Northern Ireland Road Safety Partnership (NIRSP) has further advised that they have received one complaint regarding the pavement parking of a Safety Camera Van on Belmont Road during this time period.
