Your request for information has now been considered. In respect of Section 1(1)(a) of the Act we can confirm that the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) does not hold information in relation to your requests. Enquiries made in relation to your request failed to locate any records or documents relevant to your request based on the information you have provided.
This request refers to a pilot scheme to address parking issues in Belfast which can make it difficult to empty residents’ bins on time. Ballyhackamore is not one of the 6 areas identified for the pilot.
The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) is responsible for the enforcement of most parking restrictions in Northern Ireland, therefore DfI would be best placed to assist with this request. PSNI continue to enforce certain parking offences such as dangerous or obstructive parking however the location information recorded on a fixed penalty notice is not sufficient to allow us to identify specific parts of a road e.g. the Ballyhackamore area of the Upper Newtownards Road.
Accordingly, we have determined that the Police Service of Northern Ireland does not hold the information to which you seek access.
