Request and Answer:
Your request for information has now been considered. In respect of Section 1(1)(a) of the Act we can confirm that the Police Service of Northern Ireland does hold information to which your request relates. The decision has been taken to disclose the following.

Question One
Can you provide us with the total number of phone theft incidents recorded by your police force for the year 2024/25? 

Question Two
Can you also provide a breakdown of all outcome types for the recorded cases, in particular for these two outcomes: 
a) Investigation complete – no suspect identified
b) Charged/Summonsed
 
Answer
The following table is based on all recorded burglary, robbery and theft offences where property described as Mobile phones & accessories was classified as stolen, during the period April 2024 to March 2025.  The currently assigned outcome may be updated as investigations are completed or new information comes to light.  Please Note:  This is management information based on data extracted from a live system and may be subject to change. It is dependent on the information having been input into the system in such a way as to identify those records that are relevant.
