Answer
Your request for information has now been considered. In respect of Section 1(1)(a) of the Act we can confirm that the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) does not hold information in relation to your requests. Enquiries made in relation to your request failed to locate any records or documents relevant to your request based on the information you have provided.

The PSNI do not hold any information in regards to the information you seek. However, we have consulted with the Northern Ireland Policing Board and have provided some advice below.

The Board’s Police Pension and Injury Benefits (PPIB) Directorate have confirmed that there are no timescales within the regulations, or any guidance documents, for PSNI forwarding service records to the Board.

The Board as the Scheme Manager and PSNI Pensions Branch as Scheme Administrator, are required, by law, to have in place suitable Internal Dispute Resolution Procedures (IDRP). IDRP is a formal complaints procedure which provides recourse for any person who has a complaint relating to their pension. Further details can be found on the Board’s website at the following link –

Accordingly, we have determined that the Police Service of Northern Ireland does not hold the information to which you seek access.
