What is the current fitness test police officers have to undertake for them to become a member of the Police, and ensure they are eligible for duty?

Answer

As part of the Student Officer recruitment process, candidates are required to complete a Physical Competence Assessment (PCA).  The PCA is made up of a number of different activities such as running, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting, carrying, dragging and weaving, which are incorporated into a circuit.  The circuit is required to be completed three times in 4 minutes 30 seconds.
