Your request for information has now been considered. In respect of Section 1(1)(a) of the Act we can confirm that the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) does hold information to which your request relates. The decision has been taken to disclose the following.
Question 1
Please provide, in aggregated form only, information relating to PSNI officers deployed on mutual aid to the Metropolitan Police Service for policing protests or protest-related activity connected to Palestine Action and/or Defend Our Juries on 3rd October 2025. Specifically, please provide: The total cost incurred by PSNI for deploying officers on mutual aid on this date, including salary, overtime, allowances, travel, and accommodation.
Answer
PSNI did incur costs in deploying officers on mutual aid on this date, to the Metropolitan Police Service. The costs recovered by the PSNI under the existing mutual aid arrangements amounted to £165.8k from the Metropolitan Police Service
