Request 1
The Police Fermanagh and Omagh area have published on Facebook that there has been a significant increase in quad thefts in the region.
Can the PSNI provide me with the total number of quads stolen in the past 12 months in Northern Ireland per month and region?
Answer
Agricultural Crime – the agricultural crime figures in this bulletin represent offences of burglary, robbery and theft where the victim is involved in an agricultural-based activity. Agricultural crime covers burglary, robbery and theft offences where the property or vehicles stolen have an agricultural link (e.g. farm equipment, agricultural vehicles, livestock) or where the location was agricultural (e.g. farm, farmhouse). This information is identified from both drop down pick lists and free text searches using key agricultural-related words.
Please Note: This is management information based on data extracted from a live system and may be subject to change. It is dependent on the information having been input into the system in such a way as to identify those records that are relevant.
The following table is based on all recorded burglary, robbery and theft offences that make up the agricultural crime data series, where either property or a vehicle identified as a quad was classified as stolen, during the period 1st July 2024 and 30th June 2025. Quads have been identified where the vehicle description is quad or where quad is indicated within the make, model, common name or remarks fields. Figures provided are only up until 30th June and data for 2025 and may be subject to change.
