Your request for information has now been considered. In respect of Section 1(1)(a) of the Act we can confirm that the Police Service of Northern Ireland does hold information to which your request relates. The decision has been taken to disclose the following.

How much the PSNI has spent on measures to deal with reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC) in the estate since 1 July 2024?

Answer
We can confirm that £646,418.96 has been spent in regards to this matter.

What action has been taken in the same period?

Answer
Enabling works have been undertaken in order to complete the removal of RAAC materials.

Request 3
Has a strategy for removing the material been devised? If so, how long is it likely to take?

Answer
We can confirm that a strategy has been developed and a programme for removal has commenced & estimated to complete within the next 3 years.

What is the estimated future cost of action to deal with RAAC?

Answer
We can confirm that following a strategic review of the entire estate, only one location has been identified as being affected by RAAC material and other than existing location, no future financial cost are anticipated.
