Your request for information has now been considered. In respect of Section 1(1)(a) of the Act we can confirm that the Police Service of Northern Ireland does hold information to which your request relates. The decision has been taken to disclose the following.

How many registered sex offenders are currently on the sex offender register in Northern Ireland at present August 2025?
Answer 1
There are currently 2170 managed / registered sexual offenders, which incorporates those in the community and currently incarcerated.
Request 2
Also how many registered sex offenders are currently on the sex offender register in the following areas
- West Belfast
- North Belfast
- South Belfast
- East Belfast
