Your request for information has now been considered. In respect of Section 1(1)(a) of the Act we can confirm that the Police Service of Northern Ireland does hold information to which your request relates. The decision has been taken to disclose the following.

In the last 3 years, on the Cregagh Road, Belfast, how many Road Traffic collisions involving a vehicle and a Pedestrian has there been?

Please breakdown as follows;

1. No injury

2. Minor Injury

3. Killed/Serious Injury

Answer
For the period 1st July 2022 to 30th June 2025, latest three year period for which data is available:

On the Cregagh Road, Belfast between the junctions of Ravenhill Avenue and Upper Knockbreda Road there have been 5 injury involved collisions reported to police where a pedestrian was involved.

The breakdown is as follows;

1. Minor Injury – there were 4 slightly injured pedestrians recorded

2. Killed/Serious Injury – there was 1 seriously injured pedestrian recorded

There was 1 no injury involved collision.

In the last 3 years, on the A55 Knock Carriageway, Belfast, how many Road Traffic collisions involving a vehicle and a Pedestrian has there been?

Please breakdown as follows;

The A55 is an extensive road covering a large part of Belfast. Could you please provide more detail on the part of the road you are most interested in, to include a start junction and end junction to define the stretch of road required?

Yes certainly I will clarify, can I please be provided the requested collision data for the stretch of the A55 between its junction with Ballygowan Road/Castlereagh Road and its junction with Cregagh Road.

Answer
On the Upper Knockbreda Road, Belfast between the junctions of Cregagh Road and Castlereagh Road/Ballygowan Road there has been 1 injury involved collision reported to police where a pedestrian was involved.

The breakdown is as follows;

1. Minor Injury – there were no slightly injured pedestrians recorded

2. Killed/Serious Injury – there was 1 seriously injured pedestrian recorded

3. No Injury - none
