Your request for information has now been considered. In respect of Section 1(1)(a) of the Act we can confirm that the Police Service of Northern Ireland does hold information to which your request relates. The decision has been taken to disclose the following.

Request 1
I would like to make an FOI request to find out the number of drivers that have received fines for driving without a valid MOT certificate.

Request 2 
I would like the data to include how much money the fine was for and whether the fine has been paid or if it was dismissed.

Request 3 
Please provide data for the last 12 months (July 2024 – August 2025).

Answers 1- 3 
From 1st July 2024 to 31st July 2025, 378 tickets were issued. 226 tickets were paid, and 30 were cancelled. This is a non endorsable £60 ticket. (no £5 offender levy)
