Your request for information has now been considered. In respect of Section 1(1)(a) of the Act we can confirm that the Police Service of Northern Ireland does hold information to which your request relates. The decision has been taken to disclose the following.
Question
I would like to request the following information:
How many officers were recorded as being seconded out of force in the following financial years:
- April 2022 to March 2023
- April 2023 to March 2024
- April 2024 to March 2025
I would like to receive the information in PDF format.
Answer
If we take the question to mean that (a) the Officer commenced their secondment at some point during the period stated (rather than for the duration of the period stated) and (b) that if an Officer went on a secondment during one period, which continued into a subsequent period, then they should be counted again, rather than this be considered a duplication, then the totals would be as follows:
- April 2022 to March 2023 = 1
- April 2023 to March 2024 = 2
- April 2024 to March 2025 = 3
This is a combined total of 6, but there are only 4 actual Officers.
