Your request for information has now been considered. In respect of Section 1(1)(a) of the Act we can confirm that the Police Service of Northern Ireland does hold information to which your request relates. The decision has been taken to disclose the following.

How many sexual offences have been reported in Tennant street police station jurisdiction in the past six months.

Answer 1
There have been 192 sexual offences reported within the Tennant Street Local policing team area between the 1st January 2025 and 30th June 2025.

Please Note: Figures for offences recorded from 1st April 2025 are subject to ongoing validation and quality assurance processes until publication in May 2026; annual revisions to previously published financial year figures may also be applied at this time.

9 of the incidents reported have since resulted in a charge/summons outcome. In relation to these 9 incidents, 1 person has been reported to the PPS for 1 sexual offence and 8 people have been charged in relation to 14 sexual offences.
