How many speeding fines were issued on the Donaghadee Road Newtownards between the roundabout at the Bangor Road to the National Speed limit sign past the Newton development in 23/24, 24/25 and 25/26?

The location information recorded for the PSNI speeding detections is not sufficiently detailed to allow reporting for a specific stretch of road, however, the NI Road Safety Partnership (RSP) has two sites on the Donaghadee Road, Newtownards as follows:

Detections include those which resulted in a speed awareness course completed, fixed penalty notice issued or a referral for prosecution.

Question 3
Please provide details about the number of road traffic accidents recorded on the same stretch of road for the same period, the time of day of the accident and the reason for the accident or summary details of the accident if known.

Clarification Sought
The latest available data for speed detections and injury collisions is up to 31st October 2025. Are you content with the time frame suggested above for your requests?

Clarification Received
Yes that is ok.

Question 4
How many of these accidents involved speeding?

Answer 3 and 4
Please see provided document which contains Injury only collisions and known reasons for collisions. The information presented relates to injury involved collisions reported to police. The extract covers the period 1st April 2023 to 31st October 2025, latest available data. Data for the period 1st April 2025 to 31st October 2025 is provisional and subject to change

Please note; only data for injury only road traffic collisions is held centrally and is in a retrievable format. While there may also be Damage only collisions recorded in the timeframe requested, to retrieve this data always involves a manual trawl and is likely to exceed costs. This is because it is not held centrally and collisions may be recorded within other incidents that have occurred.
