Your request for information has now been considered. In respect of Section 1(1)(a) of the Act we can confirm that the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) does hold information to which your request relates. The decision has been taken to disclose the following.
Question 1
Can the PSNI provide details on the number of reports it has received in the last five years of property owned by Translink being recorded as stolen?
Answer 1
PSNI can advise that we have received 27 reports in the last 5 years of stolen property, owned by Translink.
Question 2
Can the PSNI provide information it holds on the total value of the items reported to have been stolen from Translink during the same time?
Answer 2
Please note that this is is management information based on data extracted from a live system and may be subject to change. It is dependent on the information having been input into the system in such a way as to identify those records that are relevant. This information is incomplete as 'Value' fields in our database are not consistently entered.
PSNI has calculated that the approximate total value of these items (where value has been listed) is approximately £37,300.
As Translink is a public corporation and subject to FOI legislation, you may also want to submit this request to Translink’s own FOI team:
