Jonathan Nicholson, 39, was sentenced at Belfast Crown Court today, Wednesday, 21st August.

Nicholson was sentenced to 12 months in custody, suspended for two years, for being the occupier of a premises permitting production of a Class A controlled drug.

This conviction comes after a proactive Paramilitary Crime Task Force operation, in June 2023, during which a flat in east Belfast was searched and a number of items, including a large quantity of cocaine, were seized.

Detective Sergeant Hughes said: “The Paramilitary Crime Task Force is committed to bringing those involved in the supply of drugs before the courts.

“I would appeal to anyone who has information about paramilitary activity, including the supply of illegal drugs, to contact detectives on 101.
