Detectives are appealing for information following the report of an arson in the Minorca Avenue area of Carrickfergus.

This was reported to officers around 10:45pm on Saturday night, 14th March that a car had been set on fire.

Officers attended alongside colleagues from Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service who worked to extinguish the blaze.

The vehicle had been set alight directly beside a gas box which had sustained extensive damage as a result.

Anyone who may have witnessed this, who may have video footage including CCTV, dashcam or doorbell is asked to get in touch with officers on 101 quoting reference 1635 14/03/26.
