Police are appealing for information following the report of a burglary in east Belfast.

A report was received by police shortly after 6:40pm,  that a residential property had been burgled in the Ava Park area of the city.

This is believed to have happened sometime between 5:00pm and 6:30pm, with suspects gaining access by forcing entry through the front door.

Upon examination, a number of items of jewellery have been taken, including a wedding ring of sentimental value.

Officers are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time, or who may have video footage, including CCTV or doorbell, to get in contact with officers on 101 quoting reference 1182 29/12/25.
