Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses to a suspected aggravated burglary in north Belfast this morning, Saturday 7th December.
Detective Sergeant Kitchen said: "We received a report at around 9.20am that a man had brandished a knife in front of two men in the Crumlin Road area. The two victims made off before police arrival.
"Further reports were received that three men were armed with knives in a flat in the area and had also been involved in thefts at a shop in the area a short time earlier.
"Officers attended and arrested three men, aged 26, 34 and 48, on suspicion of aggravated burglary and possession of an article with a point or blade in a public place. They remain in police custody at this time."
Detective Sergeant Kitchen made a specific appeal to the victims: "We would ask the two men who had the knife pulled out in front of them earlier this morning, to contact us on 101 and quote reference 1075 of 07/12/24.
"Anyone who witnessed this incident, or who has dashcam or doorbell footage, is also asked to call 101 or report online at https://www.psni.police.uk/report."
