Detectives are appealing for information after a report of an armed robbery in south Belfast on Sunday, 27th April.

Detective Sergeant McVeagh said: “We received a report at around 8.45pm that a masked man had entered commercial premises on Sunnyside Street. He demanded that staff hand over the till before threatening them with a knife. He then made off with a sum of cash and was seen running down an alleyway. 

“The suspect is described as being approximately 6ft tall, of heavy build and he was wearing all-black clothing, along with a black mask.  

“We would appeal to anyone who saw a man matching this description, or who captured CCTV or dash-cam footage in the area, to contact 101, quoting reference number 1479 27/04/25.
